Table mats and WIP

Hello I have to apologise for being such a lousy blogger. This year did not start well for me and I've had a few ups and downs and my craftwork has taken a back seat. I must thank the lovely ladies on Lots to do forum who have given me lots of support and friendship over the past months. I have given up my position as DT member on The Cupboard Trilogy challenge blog and have decided to concentrate more on my quilting. I learned I'm to be a Great Gran to a baby girl due in June, so I'd like to share a quilt I am makingfor her, which is yet to be quilted. I treated myself to a new sewing machine, a fabulous Husqavarna 875Q and I've been practising using the dual feed food by making a couple of placemats. The baby quilt is a pattern called 'Inside out' by Elizabeth Hartman, I used liberty tana lawn pink prints and liberty lawn in white for the crosses. These fabrics were a joy to use. The table mats were a free PDF tut' from Art Gallery fabrics. I used prints from my stash and some linen, which I also used for the binding. Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to your comments and visiting your blogs Hugs Joy xx

Your quilt is looking amazing Joy I'm sure it will be loved and cherished by its recipients. Your placemats are great too I love how you have used the linen to bind them and back them. Where did you get your linen from please?

Joy the babies quilt is so beautiful - love the colours you have used in that gorgeous fabric

Love the colours in the place mat too and like Jackie would like to know where you got the linen from - I like the closed weave of it.

I hope that the rest of this year brings you some sunshine, good health and peace of mind xx Hilda
