Chloe Jade

Hello I've made a few digi pages of my GG daughter Chloe which were emailed to me from an I-phone. She is seen with proud parents Liam and Janine, though I'm sorry Janine is not very visible, nor is my daughter and proud nanny Carla. I created the pages in CA2 and used digi kit Nursery. Hope you like them. Thanks for stopping by Hugs Joy xx

Baby

Hello
I've some good news to share with you today. I am now the proud Great Grandmother of this gorgeous little cutie Chloe Jade Thomas. I'm delighted to show you her first photo, taken by her proud Daddy, my Grandson Liam. Chloe's Liberty print quilt is finished and on time for a change. I did straight line quilting on the machine, using a walking foot and printed a label on to fabric which I created in Craft Artist Professional. Thank you so much for taking time to visit my blog Hugs Joy xx

Bailey

Hello After watching Michelle using Serif CA 2 on C&C today, I thought I'd have a play and improve this page I did of Bailey. I think it's an improvement, hope you do too. A part from changing the background colours. I discovered the sticker 'mode' and used it on my text. Well pleased with it. Bailey is 20 months now and is very well behaved, though he does have his moments. Still loves to chew, so I have to hide my shoes and slippers whenever I go out and he's home alone! I am making him another quilt as he chewed his last one so much it ended up the size of a dish cloth lol.
Still not like this new blogger, can't seem to do stuff I want to do, think I need to go on a course.
Hope you like the new page, thanks for popping in

Table mats and WIP

Hello I have to apologise for being such a lousy blogger. This year did not start well for me and I've had a few ups and downs and my craftwork has taken a back seat. I must thank the lovely ladies on Lots to do forum who have given me lots of support and friendship over the past months. I have given up my position as DT member on The Cupboard Trilogy challenge blog and have decided to concentrate more on my quilting. I learned I'm to be a Great Gran to a baby girl due in June, so I'd like to share a quilt I am makingfor her, which is yet to be quilted. I treated myself to a new sewing machine, a fabulous Husqavarna 875Q and I've been practising using the dual feed food by making a couple of placemats. The baby quilt is a pattern called 'Inside out' by Elizabeth Hartman, I used liberty tana lawn pink prints and liberty lawn in white for the crosses. These fabrics were a joy to use. The table mats were a free PDF tut' from Art Gallery fabrics. I used prints from my stash and some linen, which I also used for the binding. Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to your comments and visiting your blogs Hugs Joy xx

Lead by Example

Hello Sorry I'm late with this month's Cupboard Trilogy challenge, which you can find here. This month we could choose our own theme and do anything we wished, hence the title 'Lead by Example' I took this photo of Bailey soon after he'd been hand stripped for the first time. I think he looks quite grown up and I'm pleased to say he did not disgrace himself and behaved impeccably, another first! I created my digi page in CAP2 Hope you had a lovely Christmas and I'd like to take this oppotunity to wish you all a Happy New Year Hugs Joy xxx

Christmas Table Runner

Hello A friend gave me the pattern for this simple table runner. The blocks were made from squares and half square triangles. I did a little outline quilting around the centre square and inner triangles on the sewing machine, leaving the border free. I bound it with double fold bias binding. Thanks for visiting. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas xxx

Dont wanna be a cruise bore, but....

Hi If you read my earlier post, you'll know I've been on a criuse with my husband Glen and am putting together a photobook. I have created the cover and page one and two so far. Glen and I had a most wonderful time cruising the Eastern mediteranean and Black sea. Our first port of call was Opporto, though I din't get ashore due to having chronic back pain. Glen got as far as the dockside and was questioned by 2 policemen, who asked to see his identity, because he was on part of the quay which was off limits and so he returned to the safety of our ship, lol. Which is why, I've no photos of Opporto to share with you. Next port was Malta it was Azura's first vogage there and so was greeted with a brass band and an eight cannon salute. Glen and I took an excursion to Medina where we enjoyed lovely panoramic views. Thanks for visiting hugs Joy

Saturday 27 October 2012

Hello I'm back after enjoying cruising the Med and Black sea on the P&O ship Azura with my hubby Glen. I had problems downloading CAP2, but the lovely guys at Serif were on hand to help and it is now successfully installed, one actually talked me through 'fixing' my wireless adaptor and now my lappy is running better and faster!!! I also installed Photo projects 2 and used 'cutouts' digi kit for my first page in my photo book. Thanks for looking, I'll be checking out your blogs soon hugs Joy xx
