Holiday Bag

Hello

Next month hubby and me are off on a cruise. I made this bag to take on excursions, it's nice and roomy without being too large. The PDF pattern by noodlehead and be found at http://www.noodle-head.com/2011/03/241-tote-pattern.html. I love the washi tape fabric I used on the handle, sides and pocket, I was lucky to get the last half yard from a shop in the US. I'm really getting hooked on making bags and I'm looking forward to making my next one, but today my yarn I've been waiting for has arrived so I'm going to try and knit me a cardi. So watch this space lol.

The Cupboard Trilogy # 2nd challenge

Hi
It's a new month and a new challenge from The Cupboard Trilogy. The theme is EMBOSSING. It can be heat embossing or dry embossing. There are three categories, Card, scrapbbook page and digi scrapbook page. Please pop over to the CHALLENGE blog and see what the design team have been up to and join in with us. As a member of the digi scrapbook design team, I was a little nervous when I saw the challenge set for us was embossing. How on earth do I digitally emboss? Luckily I found a tutorial and it took me several attempts as it was'nt easy, but eventually I got the hang of it. Digi heat embossing? Now that would be a challenge!
The handsome guy in the photo belongs to my stepson and has a lovely life with his lady friends down on the farm ( actually it's a small holding - but that doesn't sound right ) lol.

Leaf mug rugs

Hello
I really enjoyed making these quick and easy projects I saw on Pink Penguin's blog the 'rugs' were originally from a key fob tutorial and sized up. I've been wanting to make this bag after seeing it on lots of peeps blogs. Jackie on Lots to Do forum has made a couple and enlarged the pattern so I'm looking forward to making a larger version.
Of course my boy Bailey had to get in on the act lol.
Hope you are able to make the most of the weekend, now that better weather is on the way. Thanks for stopping by

Mug rug and card

Hi
At last I have something to blog.
Today I'd like to show you a mug rug and digi card I have made for a forum friend who has a birthday coming very soon.( I'm hoping she'll not look here before then ) I saw the mug rug on Pink Penguins blog and just had to make it. Originally the pattern was for a key fob and was resized with a binding added. I sewed strips of different sizes together, then cut two half leaf shapes from a paper template and cut these out of my two sewn fabric pieces. Then I sewed these two pieces together to form a 'leaf' I then quilted in the ditch between some of the strips. I used thermal wadding which is heat resistant, making it perfect for a hot cuppa.
The card is my first digi card. No it's not! It's my second. I scrapped the first as it was rubbish!
Thanks for visiting my blog

Monday, 4 June 2012

Hello
It's been a while since my last post. Hope you're enjoying the extended bank holiday.
It's the beginning of June and Happy scrappers have their 2nd challenge on their blog. The theme is 'The Great Outdoors', so I chose these piccies of my hubby Glen trying hard not to fall in the river, at Dartmeet, a well known beauty spot. We were holidaying in our caravan in south Devon and took a trip out to Dartmoor.
I was also fortunate to meet up with Hilda from Lots to do forum, who was also on holiday with her family and we had a great day out visiting a fab patchwork shop on Torquay and lunch in Newton Abbot.
I produced my page using Craft Artist professional from Serif
